As he zig-zags his way across our fair highways, hitting up venues in capital cities to share sprawling stories of his childhood on the Canadian prairie, Del commemorated his nostalgic tour by outlining a music lovers guide of his beloved Winnipeg.
Not long ago, The Profiteers snuggled up in the beautiful Catherine North studio in Hamilton, Ontario, and sang “O Canada” 100 times, and we’ve never felt more Canadian. Our rendition of “O Canada” will appear on the very big screen at Corner Gas: The Movie when the film opens December 3 to 7. Dubbed Winnipeg’s “Golden Boy” by CBC’s Grant Lawrence, Del ducked home for 24 hours to take part in the Western Canadian Music Awards celebrations.
